The water mites are often overlooked in monitor surveys because they are so small. Dispite the fact that these are a very diverse group of arthropods, Ohio EPA doesn't carry the taxonomy beyond the subclass Hydrachnidia. Reference to keying further (to genus) is made to D.G.
